In Hartford County, officials at the Bristol Public School District announced that they were made aware of a threat made through social media targeting the high school specific to Thursday, April 7, or Friday, April 8.
According to the Bristol Police Department, the threat was directed toward both students and staff at the school.
The threat led to an investigation by the department, which was able to identify a suspect, who was placed under arrest and transported to the police station for processing.
Police noted that since the suspect is a juvenile, a name will not be released.
Following the threat, there will be an increased police presence at all Bristol schools until further notice, officials said.
